English Born, New York based Actress and Singer. Recent graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and proud member of the Academy Theater Company 2014/15.
Philippa, known to her friends as Pip, was originally born in Hampshire, England. She went to Frogmore Community College where she focused on Drama. She regularly played the leads in their productions including 'Sally' in 'Me and My Girl' and 'Sandy' in 'Grease'. She partook in each year's Global Rock Challenge Dance competition, was the school's Head Girl, and was voted 'Most likely to appear on TV' and 'best personality'. She was also given the school's - 'Best Actress Award'. Whilst in Hampshire Philippa was a member of the YEM - Young Entertainers Musical Theatre School for 5 years, where she took part in many productions. She was also a member of 'Upstage Dance School' and played the part of 'Kristine Ulrich' in their film of 'A Chorus Line.'
At 16 Philippa moved to Herefordshire. It was here she began furthering her education at Hereford Sixth Form College, taking French, History, Politics, English Literature and of course Drama and Theatre Studies. It was at this time she realised that, though acting was still her ultimate goal, it was also essential to learn, travel, explore and become a fully-rounded person. She travelled through Europe, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Borneo.
At 19 she took a new path and followed another daydream of hers - becoming a lady's maid at Buckingham Palace. Working for the Royal Family for 3 1/2 years was an incredible life-changing experience, introducing her to a whole new world of people and taking her all around the country and even to Abu Dhabi and Oman on an official state visit with Her Majesty the Queen. Philippa was present at the Royal Wedding reception and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. In 2012 Philippa was accepted with a scholarship, to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York. It was time for the next step. Driving out of Buckingham Palace one last time and straight to the airport, she moved to New York to follow her dream!
In her two years at the American Academy, she trained extensively in the art of Acting. Learning everything from Dance, Camera, Singing; to Fencing, Stage Combat and Clown! Whilst in school she worked in various plays, including 'Betty' in 'The Crucible', 'Jane' in 'Fallen Angels', 'Viola' in 'Twelfth Night' and 'Joyce/Isabella Bird' in 'Top Girls' - her favorite role to date. At the end of the 2 years Philippa was chosen for the 'Angel Award' - given to the student who works the hardest inside and outside of school.
Philippa was then accepted into the prestigious Academy Theater Company 14/15. Amongst the 20 top students in her graduating class, Philippa embarked on a year of plays and workshops, performing in the 3 theaters in the Academy campus building.
Since completing her time at the Academy Philippa has taken part in the 'Got Skillz' Web Series - playing 'Stephanie'. She has worked with Human Resources Media on a documentary, has starred in the short film 'Vandal' and more recently made her New York Profession Stage Debut in 'The Report' a new, haunting play written by Martin Casella, directed by Alan Maroaka.
Philippa returned to the London in July 2016 and is currently pursuing her acting Career in the UK. Look out for her in upcoming Theatre and TV.
